David Atkins
President and CEO
As President and CEO, David is responsible for ASA Solutions' long-term strategic direction and major initiatives. Since founding the company in 1995, he has led the management team in driving profits, identifying new markets and creating business development opportunities.
Before he launched ASA, David was director of information technology at Bechtel Corporation where he oversaw all IT-related projects for an office of 2,500 employees and managed a $25 million budget. Before that, he was PSO manager at Bechtel where he led the invention and development of enterprise 2-D and 3-D CAD and scientific applications. He began his career with Bechtel as a civil and structural engineer analyzing and designing concrete and steel structures for the nuclear power industry.
David graduated summa cum laude from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
Kal Bhakta
Chief Technical Officer
As Chief Technical Officer, Kal directs ASA Solutions' technical vision and development. He plays an integral role in the company's strategic direction and future growth, and leads the execution of technical strategy for various IVR platforms, partnerships and external relationships.
Prior to joining ASA Solutions, Kal held senior test engineer positions designing, developing, and managing complex system test suites with leading military projects subcontractors, including the F-22 Raptor for General Dynamics C4 Systems and the Standard Missile for Raytheon Missile Systems. During his tenure, Kal successfully managed his teams to meet critical manufacturing production timelines for the supported products within budget. He also played a key role in designing new test hardware and software to increase efficiency of the entire production line.
Kal earned a Masters in Business Administration degree from University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of New Mexico.
Cheryl Williams
Vice President of Client Implementations
As Vice President of Client Implementations, Cheryl oversees client relationships and manages all aspects of customer service delivery. She develops strategies for achieving client objectives, and manages service delivery teams to ensure goals and deliverables are met. Cheryl's more than 10 years' experience with ASA Solutions includes key account management, service delivery, operations, recruiting and account growth.
Previously, Cheryl was a Regional Vice President at a Technical Recruiting Firm where she closed and recruited a team for a $1.3 million healthcare enterprise project within the first four months of opening a new office. Prior to that, she served as Director of Business Development for a Fortune 500 CRM, a leading provider of Multi-Channel Customer Interaction solutions.
David Paez
Program Manager
As Program Manager, David brings a wealth of real-world IVR and call center experience to ASA Solutions, from hands-on application development and project management of complex contact center and IVR deployments, to executive-level customer relationship management.
David started his career in the IVR industry more than 15 years ago as an application developer with Syntellect. While there, he was promoted to project manager responsible for multiple contact center and IVR-related projects including legacy IVR applications, predictive dialer migrations, and beta deployments of new software releases.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona.
